Jimmie Responds to Mean Tweets

We've all watched celebrities on Late Night With Jimmy Kimmel read Mean Tweets. You may have even re-watched the YouTube version and sent a link to all your friends exclaiming "Someone actually sent that on Twitter!"

While reading a Mean Tweet sent to you on camera gives some laughs, Jimmie takes it one step further and responds to the "haters" of the social world. Why let them have all the fun??

Here's a collection of some of Jimmie's finest comebacks and retorts. And please remember Twitter-verse: a mean Tweet is a mean Tweet. A mean Tweet with humor is an open door for banter...

2014 Jimmie Johnson Foundation Golf Tournament

The Jimmie Johnson Foundation announced today that its annual Golf Tournament and Dinner Auction raised more than $650,000. The 2014 edition of the tournament and auction is the eighth year for the event that has raised more than $500,000 each year since its inception in 2007.

“This event keeps getting better and better,” said Johnson. “I’m so thankful to everyone that supports the Foundation. It is because of sponsors like Lowe’s, that we are able to provide support to K-12 public education. Chani (wife) and I look forward to continuing the great work of the Foundation.”

Johnson, NASCAR’s six-time reigning Sprint Cup Series champion, hosted more than 130 golfers at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California for Wednesday’s golf tournament. The night before the golf tournament, the Johnsons hosted more than 200 guests at a special dinner and auction, with music from the KIPP Adelante Orchestra.

The Greatness of Jimmie Johnson

"Interact with Jimmie Johnson, even in passing, and you'll notice almost immediately that his greatness should not be measured in wins or championships. It should not even be measured in a race car.

The wins and the championships and the race car merely provide the platform to display the impact of his greatness.

The greatness is the man.

Jimmie Johnson is a father and husband first and foremost, a six-time Sprint Cup champion second.

This is an estimate based on experience: I probably know 20 men who will tell you Jimmie Johnson is his best friend. Rare is the man who integrates seamlessly into every crowd. Rarer still is the man who means it.

Johnson makes it look easy. He makes everything look easy. That's his true talent. Because the fact is, nothing he does is easy. Racing is not easy. Winning is damn sure not easy. Parenting and husbanding aren't easy. He's just willing to work harder than you are."

Jimmie's Dynasty Deserves More Fans Than Haters

"Going to Phoenix International Raceway always serves as a good reminder that there are more than just a few Jimmie Johnson fans rather than just a slew of haters.

His West Coast roots are obvious at places such as Phoenix, Las Vegas, Sonoma and California. Fans flood the stands in their 48 gear.

They probably will have more gear to buy after this weekend..."
