Kansas Speedway

The track, located 15 minutes from downtown Kansas City, opened in 2001 and proudly boasts the Fan Walk. During this leisurely stroll through the garage area, fans enter outside Turn 1 and travel through a kaleidoscopic 450-foot tunnel full of colored lights into the infield, where they get close-up looks at the inner workings of the sport. The speedway is sunk into a bowl so that fans even on the bottom row can see the entire track. Though many tracks extend themselves to cater to the upper-class swells with ritzy suites and exclusive hospitality villages, Kansas has put an emphasis on the everyday fan.
