Here is your chance to have your favorite charity's logo carried on Jimmie Johnson's helmet during the Pepsi 500 Sprint Cup race on August 31st at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA.

To nominate your charity of choice, complete the form on the Jimmie Johnson Foundation website (www.jimmiejohnsonfoundation.org). A total of 12 logos will be added to the helmet along with the San Diego Habitat for Humanity logo, the Johnsons' charity of choice for the 2008 Jimmie Johnson Foundation Golf Tournament presented by Lowe�s in San Diego.

"We get a number of requests to help so many worthy charities throughout the year, but unfortunately we aren't able to assist everyone," said Chandra Johnson, co-founder of the Jimmie Johnson Foundation, at the press conference announcing the initiative in New Hampshire. "The helmet is our way of getting some recognition for charities that are special to people who follow and work in the racing community. We are all a family and most of us have a personal tie to a charity. This helmet is our small way of honoring those causes."

The first charities will be chosen at the July, 2008 Daytona race. The initiative runs through the August, 2008 Michigan race. The helmet will be auctioned off in conjunction with the golf tournament dinner on Tuesday, August 26, 2008.
